Mexican in PinkBlush

My summer craving is always Mexican food and margaritas. Always. It just is hot weather perfection, and I’m not going to lie, I miss the hell out of tequila. But, last night I settled for a nojito while my husband drank the real stuff. It’ll do for another 8.5 weeks until Baby R arrives!

This gorgeous dress from Pink blush maternity was literally perfect for the evening. It has a little of that Mexican flair, and oh my gosh it is so comfortable!!! I haven’t bought any maternity clothing yet, so I am so grateful to them for sending me a few pieces to ease me into the last stretch of my pregnancy. And it doesn’t hurt that my hubs loved this dress too. Win win win.

Memorial Weekend in Maine

 X

I love holiday weekends. Like, you know, everyone ever. But my husband and I have opposite schedules and usually only have Sunday’s together, so to have TWO days is everything. Until summer break. So soon.

This weekend, we lived it up with sunny skies and warm temperatures. Donuts at Congdons again, because, pregnancy…plant shopping for our porch garden, family time with my outrageously cute niece, and lots of baby bumping. The crochet dress that  I’m wearing in the last photos, I found at a new vintage shop in our little town. It was a casual five dollars, as was the flamingo purse which I’m obsessed with.

Tomorrow, it will be nine weeks until Baby (hopefully) arrives. I can’t wait.

This time of the year in New England always reminds me of why I actually am willing to tolerate the god awful winters we get. It’s sunny almost every day lately, and warmer all the time. This week is supposed to stay in the high 80s and that is music to my ears. Or eyes, since I saw it on my weather app obviously. Yesterday, we took an afternoon walk along the river with our pup. She is my favorite creature. I never liked dogs much before her, but I am crazy about Lupe. We have been making sure to have her spend lots of time with my baby niece, and our friends little ones to get her used to infants. She loves playing with the neighborhood children, and I know she will be a good doggie sister to baby R.
Also, I’m loving this soft, loose, lilac shirt from triplethreadco. They sent me a fabulous package of their lovely items, and I can’t wait to wear them all! And, they are going to be perfect for nursing baby. I’ve started trying to collect only things that i can wear post baby since he will be here in hopefully less than ten weeks. So crazy!!

Sunday in Coastal Maine

My husband and I spend 6 days a week at our various duties. Sometimes we get Saturday afternoon together, but until Summer vacation starts (one more month!) Sunday’s are our one precious day. So we tend to try to do something with them. Yesterday was an especially good one. Breakfast in bed, a long sunny hike with our doggy girl… Then lunch at Congdons Donuts in Wells Maine ( the obsession is through the roof!!) and a long walk through Kennebunkport. Maine is a beautiful state, and I feel so lucky to be near so many lovely areas. We had our mini honeymoon in a gorgeous b&b in kennebunkport two and a half years ago, and going back carrying our sweet baby boy in my belly made the day that much lovelier. The tulips were blooming, and my heart was full. I wore one of my favorite dresses from Old Navy. It’s not maternity, but it totally works with my almost 30 week bump.

It’s the end of a very long Monday now, and I’m waiting for my man to get home and already dreaming of next weekend.
